MetaBenz Special Treatment Protocol: Safeguarding Integrity in Cryptocurrency Trading
At MetaBenz, we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of security and trust in cryptocurrency trading. Our Special Treatment (ST) Protocol is designed to address and manage projects at risk of delisting with utmost diligence. This comprehensive mechanism ensures that every project undergoes a thorough review process, upholding the integrity of our exchange and protecting our community of users and investors.
Criteria for Special Treatment or Potential Delisting
MetaBenz employs a stringent set of criteria, known as "Negative Situations," to evaluate projects for Special Treatment or potential delisting. These criteria include:
- Voluntary Delisting Requests: If a project formally requests to be delisted, it triggers an evaluation process to determine the next steps.
- Persistently Low Liquidity: Extended periods of low liquidity for a project's token are scrutinized to assess the project's market viability.
- Security Flaws: Discovery of vulnerabilities in the project's technology that could compromise security.
- Operational Halt: Indicators that the project may cease operations or business activities, or if the project team disbands.
- Financial Distress: Situations such as insolvency or bankruptcy impacting the project.
- Suspected Malicious Activities: Any indication of harmful activities associated with the project.
- Legal Challenges: Ongoing legal investigations or convictions involving the project or its team members.
- Market Misconduct: Evidence of unethical practices like wash trading or insider trading linked to the project.
- High-Risk Assessments: Evaluation by our audit, legal, and technical teams highlighting significant risks.
- Failure to Report Changes: Notifying MetaBenz of substantial changes within the prescribed time frame is essential. Failure to do so may trigger a review.
- Other Risk Factors: Any other circumstances deemed risky by MetaBenz's management.
Notification Process and Observation Period
When a project is flagged for Special Treatment, MetaBenz will prominently mark the project’s ticker symbol during an observation period. This serves as a cautionary signal to our users and investors about the potential for delisting.
- Observation Period: During this phase, we closely monitor the project's performance and liquidity. If the project fails to achieve the required liquidity levels by the end of this period, MetaBenz may proceed with delisting. Conversely, if liquidity improves, the Special Treatment status may be removed.
- Action Requirements: If the project does not take necessary corrective actions to address the identified issues, MetaBenz retains the right to proceed with delisting. In exceptional cases, immediate delisting may occur if circumstances demand swift action.
Delisting Protocol and Re-listing Procedures
Upon delisting, trading and deposit functionalities for the affected project will be suspended. To be considered for re-listing, the project must undergo a fresh approval and listing process, adhering to MetaBenz’s rigorous standards. Please note, MetaBenz reserves the right to amend these rules and procedures without prior notice to adapt to evolving market conditions.
